I have full fibre to my door, brilliant. I went from half a meg (and lots of problems) download to 60 meg. The welsh government put it in a few years ago. And I live in the middle of the Welsh Marches down the end of a track.

Quote from: pxr5 on May 01, 2022, 03:46:29 PMHalf way through Vikings: Valhalla. It takes place 100 years after Ragnar Lothbrook and it tells of the Viking return to England after the ones living there had all been eliminated by the old King. It's not as good as Vikings and some imdb reviews are scathing, but as long as one looks beyond the historical inaccuracies it's not too bad. But a massive blunder - a black African queen heading the Vikings at Kattegat - seriously!!

I am enjoying it. Viking lost its way in the end. The last kingdom is my favourite Vikings series.

Quote from: Slim on May 01, 2022, 02:36:17 PMi saw Eric Clapton playing with Roger about 38 years ago. He played the rhythm and arpeggio parts spot on, but he improvised some of the solos. I don't really like Eric's sense of improvisation outside the Blues.
I agree, there is a clip of EC playing with Hawkwind awful. John Etheridge playing with hawkwind are a couple made in heaven. I miss Huw Lloyd Langton

I love XTC.

Me too, you'll love it - saw them in Blackpool in February, amazing gig with an incredible setlist 👌

I'll be seeing them again in Manchester at the end of July 😁

It is a shame Colin Mouding is not playing with them, I like his songs the best- Sacrificial Bonfire

Pete Pardo not sure about his opinions. and the box set is overkill.

I have the original CD and that is all I need. Sounds brilliant through my Naim.

Quote from: Fishy on April 25, 2022, 07:39:15 AM2 great days in Oban now it's a ferry over to Mull then home at the weekend....👍

there is a great view from Iona's highest point Dun I ( Well of Eternal Youth), which is a very pagan site. I was not allowed in the abbey for health and safety reasons...I had my 2 dogs with me. Madness, do you think the monks did health and safety reports before they built their abbey!
oh you lucky person, have you been to the fish restaurant on the harbour front in Tobermory?

I have always wanted to put my feet in the sea then walk to the top of Ben More....maybe one day.
Going to get ourselves booked into the Cafe Fish for later in the week..gets rave reviews and menu looks awesome..even for someone like me that can't abide shell food...

Booked for Thursday 6.30pm..

You can go and watch the sea eagles. Are going to go to Iona? swim on those white sandy beaches.

Yes driving down to ferry tomorrow over to Iona.. did a 10 mile walk in Tobermory today...
