Absolute clowns, but a lot of thick people have been taken in. I don't think Bridgen is one of them. He's just trying to salvage a career out of their ignorance at the expense of people's health and lives.

I'm literally represented by the most dishonourable, irresponsible MP in the entire House of Commons, and I voted for him. But I'm looking forward to cleaning him out of there.

Seeing clickbait/rage-bait headlines today reporting that AstraZeneca has withdrawn its Covid vaccine after admitting it caused serious adverse outcomes, up to and including death.

Of course, the told-you-sos who clearly haven't read accompanying articles will mistake correlation for causation and remain wilfully oblivious to the fact that the vaccine has been withdrawn for the simple reason it has been superseded in demand by more effective alternatives, not because it came with a tiny chance of being dangerous.

It's ironic that the crowd who persistently banged on about very low Covid mortality rates is the same as the one hysterically super-squeamish about the exponentially smaller likelihood of vaccine harms.

Heard a brilliant contribution to 5 Live Drive this evening about this by a professor of immunology. The AZ vaccine is estimated to have saved 6.5 million lives in its first 12 months alone, and the Oxford University team did an amazing job ensuring it was safe and ready for use in ten months.

Stand down, hero. Job done.

Fascinating and uplifting to read that the mRNA type of vaccine is showing promising results in trials to use it on certain types of cancer.  I've no doubt that this was in the pipeline anyway but the COVID pandemic has, you would imagine, allowed this research to happen more quickly

Yep, and at the same time, the foilers have managed to discredit the whole idea of vaccination among the more intellectually disabled part of the population, so much so that people are refusing measles vaccines for their kids, for example.

Ah well - that's how natural selection works, I guess.

I suppose this type of legitimate mass Guinea pig testing of the population was a dream come true in a way. The understandable slow pace of drug testing and approval must be a major frustration in the science world.
