Tool - 4/5
SOF - 4.5/5
Spiritualized- 5/5
Sounds like a good week.

Tool were very special last night at the NEC. Really enjoyed the show if not the sight of people being escorted off the premises for daring to use their camera.

They're playing Wembley Stadium next June, too.

Friday, August 12, 2022 - FM, Buckley Tivoli

Fantastic. This had disappeared from the Tiv website so I thought it wasn't happening. But it is on, and I have bagged a ticket. Turns out it is the opening night of FM's UK leg of their "Thirteen" tour.

Fantastic. Ah, already said that.

I don't do festivals any more, but I notice that FM are headlining one of the stages on Sat Aug 13th at the Firestorm festival near Manchester, supported by Inglorious and Bernie Marsden and some others.

If anyone is interested . . .

Enjoyed Manchester and the first London gig, but perhaps not quite as much as I thought I might.  Third time lucky though as the second London show was the killer...Danny Carey's birthday, 7empest played as well.  Great shows, although I wonder if I'm too old to be doing multiple gigs in such a short space of time.  I am shattered.

A solitary stalls seat in the second row placed right in front of Steve Howe came up at Manchester, plus it's much more conveniently on a Friday, so I've changed plans accordingly.

If anyone fancies my now spare York ticket I'm open to offers. Paid £65 all in (face £55).  Good seat, centre-ish stalls, row K. :)

Mamas Gun last night: https://www.instagram.com/tv/Cea1THlKodb/

Great show, fourth time I've seen them and this was the best one yet. Good choice of venue for the 110 people or so who came, tiny place really but a wonderful atmosphere.

Really a great band, all of them accomplished musos.

Since early May I've worked at Ghost, The War On Drugs, Armin Van Buren, Craig David, Louis Tomlinson, Dream Theater, Kaiser Chiefs (National Lottery shows), Glamstar (I actually bought a ticket to see these), Ateez (a K-pop boyband), Arjit Singh, Bill Bailey, Gary Numan, Anne-Marie, The Dualers, Whitesnake/Foreigner & Europe, Andre Rieu (X3), Russell Peters, Years & Years, Thunder/Ugly Kid Joe/Kris Barras Band, Ashanti, 2 Cellos (X2), Mark Anthony (a Latino/salsa singer), and last night the first of 8 gigs for Queen + Adam Lambert.

Still to come until the end of July, I've got 7 more Queen & Adam Lambert, The Capital Radio Summertime Ball, Billie Eilish, Harry Styles, The Boyzz (yet another K-Pop boyband), Green Day/Fall Out Boy/Weezer, 21 Pilots, Juben Natayal, Ed Sheeran (X2), Guns N Roses, a 2 day K-pop mini fest, Haim, The Libertines and 2 Lady Gaga.

I hope to score tickets to see a band called Voice Of Baceprot at a small venue in Tufnell Park in late July. They're a young metal band comprises of 3 Muslim girls from a very conservative town in Indonesia. They play in full hijab and make a splendid noise.
